The story of Panepane
Panepane and Pūrākau are the names of 2 Maori land blocks located at the southern point of Matakana Island, New Zealand. This prime real estate was taken for Public Works in 1923 and in 2020 the Western Bay of Plenty council are fulfiling their legal obligations to return this land to its original owners.
